TAB Property Enhancement is an eight-time Best of Houzz winner, and a pergola is one of the highest-impact pieces we build. It turns an exposed patio or deck into usable space by controlling sun, light, and rain. The material and the roof type decide how much control you get and how little upkeep it asks of you. Shade you can dial in changes how often you use the space.
We build in powder-coated aluminum and western red cedar, matched to the structure and the look you want. Aluminum is the low-maintenance route: it won’t rot, warp, or need refinishing, and it carries a louvered roof whose blades pivot to open the sky or close against rain. For louvered aluminum we install three systems we trust against Ohio weather: PERGOLUX, The Luxury Pergola, and the Hideaway TitanCover. Cedar gives you natural warmth, takes stain, and suits a fixed-beam or slatted roof. We engineer the footings and connections for Ohio wind and snow load, so the structure stands without sagging or racking.
Every pergola starts with a design conversation and a 3D rendering, so you see the proportions, post placement, and roof style against your home before we set a post. We pull permits where the structure needs them, and our crews handle the footings, framing, and full install. No subcontractor handoffs on the structure itself.
The reason to plan a pergola early is everything that runs through it. Low-voltage lighting in the beams, a ceiling fan, motorized screens to close in the space, a heater for the shoulder seasons, and the patio or deck underneath all connect better when they’re designed together. Wiring set during the build beats fishing it through finished beams later.
